Founded in 1976, the Paley Center for Media has drawn upon its curatorial expertise, vast collection of international media programming, and close relationships with leaders of the media community to explore and explain the intersections between media and society. With locations in New York and Hollywood, the Paley Center leads discussion upon the cultural, creative, and social significance of television, radio, and emerging media platforms for the professional media community, and the
media-interested public.
The developed wordmark evokes a lens' focusing mechanism, alongside both sound and broadcast waves. The visual system incorporates two approaches, allowing the organization to appear both formal and informal as occasions dictate. Stationery, signage, and more formal materials utilize black, white and mirrored surfaces. Other materials make use of a set of gradient palettes reflecting the intricacy, depth, and saturation of contemporary media.
