Joshua was raised in Detroit, Michigan. Upon graduation from University, he moved to New York City, serving for three years as a designer at Landor Associates. There, he was responsible for/contributed to corporate identity programs for the Paley Center for Media, The Council on Foreign Relations, Panasonic, The City of Baltimore, Verizon, and Trinity School
of New York among others.

Joshua received his Bachelor of Fine Art in Graphic Design with honors from Western Michigan University. Through the course of his studies he attended design and typography courses at the School of Art and Design in Basel, Switzerland, and a summer curriculum working with Studios Lust and NLXL in The Hague, Netherlands. Joshua is an active member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts and the New York Type Directors Club.

In his spare time he collects Olympic posters and buys more books than he has time to read. He enjoys riding his bike and traveling, meeting new people, and collaborating over a good glass wine or cup of coffee.

Currently, Joshua is a resident at Fabrica, The Benetton Group's communication's research center in Treviso, Italy, where he works with a range of NGO's, museums, educational institutions, and social organizations. Other focuses include generative systems and interactive work.
